The Strength Shop Leg Press Machine is extremely heavy duty, built for a lifetime of use and suited for athletes of all abilities.

One of the key benefits for a leg press machine is to allow the user to vary the weight as desired with much less pressure on the lower back. This, along the extra wide foot plate for varied foot positioning and an adjustable seat angle, allows the user to train legs from multiple angles and target specific muscle groups with ease.

The release handles are easily accessible and feature several safety pins to allow for adjustment of the starting/end position of the lift quickly and safely. There is an additional central safety catcher in case of an initial set up issue or failed lift attempt: this catch will protect the user and can be adjusted to different height levels.

Olympic style plates can be loaded onto up to four loading pins which gives plenty of room to load up to a very high weight. The four weight sleeves on the sides make for quick and easy loading/unloading of weight plates and excellent storage.

Combining all of these features makes the Strength Shop Leg Press versatile, very user friendly and accessible for most gym users.

Smooth as butter

Genuinely you need not look any further for a smoother machine. It’s be one of the best additions to our gym since we’ve been open.

Could not pass on this offer.

Essentially a Hammer Strength copy. Solid and safe! Great value for money. Delivered in a 1,5 x 2-3m crate so you better have somewhere to put it. Package lacked instruction booklet but was fairly easy guesswork. Needs two persons for assembly. Came with some blemishes on a handle and weight bearing side arm including some metal stray ”sand” in the packaged parts. All in all great piece though. Highly recommended!

Strength Shop leg press review

Buying this machine was quite a leap of faith: the product had only just been released and I could not find any reviews anywhere. A closer look at the photos showed many similarities to Hammer Strength leg presses of the past, however, and I decided to go for it.

While I haven't loaded up the machine with hundreds of kilos just yet, I have not been able to find fault with it: the build quality is excellent, the sled moves smoothly and allows you to really feel the weight (I hate leg presses where most of the resistance comes from friction between rollers, pulleys, chains etc.) and the wide and deep foot plate allows for multiple foot placements. Perhaps a third, more horizontal setting for the back rest would have been nice but other than that this machine performs quite well.

Why four stars and not five? The instruction manual, or rather the lack of it: I received one page with safety instructions (machine-translated from Chinese into English?) and two sheets of badly printed technical drawings. As luck would have it I managed to build up the machine without mishaps (using the photos of the complete product on the Strength Shop website rather than the technical drawings), but step-by-step instructions would have been nice.

All in all I would highly recommend this piece of kit.
